Rights & takedowns
If a song here is yours and you would rather it were not, say so and it goes. There is a form at the foot of every song page, and a person reads every submission.
What happens
- Your claim opens a row in a queue a curator works through. Nothing is automated — no endpoint here can unpublish a song on its own.
- A curator verifies what they reasonably can and replies to the address you gave.
- If the song is removed it is marked restricted, which drops it from the next published corpus. That means it leaves every reader’s device on their next update, not merely this website.
- Nothing is deleted outright. A claim later found to be mistaken has to be reversible, and the record of what was published has to survive the dispute.
Attribution
A poet’s right to be named is theirs personally and does not lapse with the economic rights. If a song of yours is here uncredited, or credited wrongly, that is a correction we want — the same form fixes it.
Where texts come from
Every text carries how it was entered and what it was checked against. Most of the corpus is Prakrit and Sanskrit liturgy that is centuries old and has no living rights holder; the rest is entered by curators with a source recorded against it.
Or just write
addvertizin@gmail.com. Name the song and what you would like done.
