The text is free. It was given freely and it is passed on the same way.
Nothing below costs money, ever, on any plan — including one that has lapsed. The only line here is whether your device needs to know who you are.
Most of these need an account because they keep something that is yours — a copy of the songbook, a running order, a correction with your name on it. The full text is there for a different reason: without a name on the other end, the whole songbook can be taken in an afternoon, and it has been tried. Signing up is free and asks for an email.
There is no plan, lapsed or otherwise, that can switch any of those off. That is enforced in code, not policy — reading, searching, the offline songbook, your marks and contributing are hard-coded, and a test asserts it for every plan including an expired one.
Every new account opens on the Performer plan for 14 days, with nothing to enter and nothing to cancel. When it ends, everything you made in it stays yours — your programs open, your marks and keys are where you left them. You simply stop being able to add more.

A plan that lapses degrades; it never deletes. Audio you uploaded stays yours and stays playable — you simply cannot add more. Ask us anything.
